Description

Small globular jar with a very wide body, a wide mouth and a drooping, convex lip. The vessel is typical Kerma technique: a fine clay with mineral temper including a few specks of calcite, black. The surface is covered with a thick brick-red slip, polished but now flaking off.

Petite jarre globulaire à la panse très large, à l'ouverture large avec une lèvre convexe retombante. Le vase est caractéristique de la technique Kerma avec une pâte fine, au dégraissant fin dont quelques grains de calcite, noire. La surface est recouverte d'un engobe épais et par endroits craquelé, rouge brique, poli.
