The Global Egyptian Museum

Deze grote schaal in calciet onderscheidt zich door een zeer verzorgde afwerking en is zeer mooi gepolijst. Ze diende om voedsel in te presenteren dat in de graven uitgestald lag. Het stuk, dat dateert uit het begin van de dynastieke periode, is afkomstig van de opgravingen van É. Amélineau, ondernomen in Abydos in 1895-1898.

This large plate of limestone is distinguished by its very neat finish and its very beautiful polishing. It served  in the presention of the food set out in the tombs. The piece, which dates from the beginning of the Dynastic Period, comes from the excavations of E. Amelineau carried out at Abydos in 1895-1898.

Ce grand plat en albâtre se distingue par sa finition très soignée et son très beau polissage. Il servait à présenter de la nourriture exposée dans les tombes. La pièce, qui date du début de la période dynastique, provient des fouilles d'É. Amélineau entreprises à Abydos en 1895-1898.

Dieser große Teller aus Alabaster zeichnet sich durch eine sehr sorgfältige Ausführung und eine sehr schöne Politur aus. Er diente der Darbringung von Speisen in den Gräbern. Das Stück vom Beginn der dynastischen Zeit  wurde bei Grabungen von É. Amélineau 1895-1898 in Abydos gefunden.

Questo grosso piatto di calcite si distingue per la sua rifinitura molto accurata e la bellissima pulitura. Serviva a presentare il cibo esposto nelle tombe. Il pezzo, che risale all'inizio del periodo dinastico, proviene dagli scavi di É. Amélineau intrapresi ad Abydos nel 1895-1898.

Este grande prato de calcite (ou alabastro) distingue-se pelo seu cuidadoso acabamento e bom polimento. Servia para conter os alimentos oferecidos nos túmulos. A peça. que data do início do Período Dinástico, provém das escavaçöes de É. Amélineau levadas a cabo em Abidos em 1895-1898.

Esta gran bandeja de caliza se caracteriza por su  cuidada elaboración y su precioso pulido. Servía para presentar alimentos en las tumbas. La pieza, que data de comienzos del período dinástico, proviene de las excavaciones realizadas por É. Amélineau en Abydos en 1895-1898.
