Description
Wheel-made vase fashioned from a common, buff-coloured clay using the Egyptian technique. The body is globular. The narrow neck flares into an open corolla and bears two fine parallel incisions on the rim. This vessel is covered with a golden slip, on to which ''scratches'' were painted in red ochre on the shoulder. This vessel is typical of the Second Cataract region and Upper Nubia at the end of the Middle Kingdom and during the Second Intermediate Period.
