Description
Linen was manufactured on horizontal looms. In the New Kingdom the vertical loom became more popular, as is shown in several tomb paintings. Weaving cards and loom weights have survived down to the present day. This weaving card, made of a single piece of wood, is serrated on its lower edge; several teeth have broken off. It is decorated with grooves and crossed lines.

Linnen werd geweven op horizontale weefgetouwen. In het Nieuwe Rijk werd het verticale weefgetouw populair, zoals in verschillende grafschilderingen is afgebeeld. Weefkammen en weefgewichten zijn bewaard gebleven. Deze weefkam, gemaakt uit één stuk hout, is aan de onderrand getand. Sommige tanden zijn afgebroken. De kam is gedecoreerd met groeven en gekruiste lijnen.
Le lin était tissé sur des métiers horizontaux. Au Nouvel Empire, les métiers verticaux devinrent plus fréquents, comme en témoignent plusieurs fresques funéraires. Des peignes et des poids à tisser sont conservés dans différentes collections. Ce peigne en bois, fait d'une seule pièce, a perdu plusieurs dents. Il est décoré de lignes ondoyantes et transversales.
Leinen wurde auf waagrechten Webstühlen hergestellt. Im Neuen Reich kann der senkrechte Webstuhl auf; dies ist uns durch einige Darstellungen in Wandmalereien von Gräbern überliefert. Webkämme und Webstuhlgewichte sind uns erhalten. Dieser Webkamm aus einem Stück Holz ist an der unteren Breitseite gezahnt, einige Zähne sind abgebrochen. Rillen und Querlinien dienten als Verzierung.
Il tessuto di lino era realizzato su telai orizzontali. Nel Nuovo Regno divenne più popolare il telaio verticale, come è raffigurato nelle pitture di molte tombe. I pettini e i pesi da telaio si sono conservati sino a noi. Questo pettine da telaio, ricavato da un unico pezzo di legno, è dentellato sul lato lungo inferiore; diversi denti si sono rotti. Esso era decorato con scanalature e linee trasversali.
O linho era manufacturado em teares horizontais. Durante o Império Novo, o tear vertical tornou-se muito popular, tal como se pode ver em várias pinturas murais de túmulos. Há várias lançadeiras e pesos de tear em bastante colecções. Esta lançadeira, feita de uma peça de madeira, é denticulada na parte inferior; vários dentes foram partidos. Está decoradas com linhas transversas.

Varias son las colecciones egiptológicas que conservan lanzaderas y pesas de telar. Esta lanzadera, realizada de en una pieza de madera, está dentada en su parte inferior y más ancha; algunos dientes se han roto. Está decorada con acanaladuras y líneas transversales.
