Description
This small faience amulet depicts Harpocrates between the sister goddesses Isis and Nephthys. The figures are striding on a pedestal. At the top of the rectangular back pillar is a protuberance for suspension. The duality of the sisters is here extended to include the child Horus, whom they have put between them in order to protect him. The deceased, who would wear this amulet, would act as the reborn Osiris.

Dit faience amuletje stelt Harpocrates voor, geflankeerd door de zusters Isis en Nephthys. De figuren lopen op een voetstuk. Bovenaan de rechthoekige rugpijler zit een uitsteeksel om het amulet op te hangen. De zustergodinnen hebben het Horuskind tussen hen in geplaatst om hem te beschermen. Das kleine Amulett aus Fayence zeigt den Gott Harpokrates zwischen den Götterschwestern Isis und Nephthys. Die Figuren stehen in Schrittstellung auf einem Sockel.
