Description
A fragment from a large blue-glazed faience amulet depicting the Djed-pillar. The back is plain with no holes for suspension. The Djed-pillar was considered to be a sign of stability, a stylised symbol of the backbone of Osiris.

Deel van een groot blauw geglazuurd amulet van faience dat de djed-zuil weergeeft. De rugzijde is effen en er is geen gat te zien waaraan het amulet zou kunnen worden opgehangen. De djed-zuil werd beschouwd als symbool van stabiliteit, en was een gestileerde weergave van de ruggegraat van Osiris.
Fragment d'une grande amulette en faïence bleue émaillée représentant le pilier-djed. Le dos est simple. Elle ne comporte pas de trou de suspension. Le pilier-djed était considéré comme un symbole de stabilité, représentant la colonne vertébrale stylisée d'Osiris.
Ein Fragment eines blau glasierten Fayenceamulettes, das einen Djed-Pfeiler darstellt. Die Rückseite ist flach und besitzt keine Ösen. Der Djed-Pfeiler galt als Zeichen der Dauerhaftigkeit, ein stilisiertes Symbol der Wirbelsäule des Osiris.
Frammento di un amuleto in faience invetriata di colore blu, avente la forma del pilastro Djed. La parte posteriore è liscia e non presenta fori di sospensione. Il pilastro Djed era considerato un simbolo di stabilità, un simbolo stilizzato della spina dorsale di Osiride.
