Description
This vase of clay, whose provenance is not known, is a beautiful example of a ceramic decorated with the potter's wheel. The use of this technique which was of italic origin, was restricted in Egypt to the 1st and 2nd centuries of our time. The pieces belonged to a type of ceramics of the highest quality, which was particularly distinguished by its extremely thin walls.

Deze vaas uit klei, waarvan de herkomst onbekend is, is een mooi voorbeeld van aardwerk dat met behulp van de barbotine-techniek versierd is. Het gebruik van deze oorspronkelijk Italiaanse techniek beperkte zich in Egypte tot de 1e en 2e eeuw van onze jaartelling. De stukken maakten deel uit van aardewerk van de hoogste kwaliteit en onderscheiden zich in het bijzonder door zeer fijne vlakken. De vaas had oorspronkelijk twee oren.
Ce vase en argile, dont la provenance n'est pas connue, est un bel exemple de la céramique décorée à la barbotine. L'emploi de cette technique, qui était d'origine italique, se limitait en Égypte aux Ier et IIe siècles de notre ère. Les pièces faisaient partie de la céramique de la plus haute qualité et se distinguaient particulièrement par des parois très fines. L'exemplaire était originairement pourvu de deux anses.
Dieses Tongefäß unbekannter Herkunft ist ein gutes Beispiel für barbotineverzierte Keramik. Die Verwendung dieser Technik italischen Ursprungs ist in Ägypten auf das 2. und 3. Jhdt. n. Chr. beschränkt. Die Stücke zählten zur qualitätvollsten Keramik und waren vor allem durch ihre sehr dünne Gefäßwand gekennzeichnet. Dieses Exemplar war ursprünglich mit zwei Henkeln versehen gewesen.
Questo vaso di argilla, la cui provenienza non é nota, é un bell'esempio di ceramica decorata a barbottina. L'impiego di questa tecnica, che era di origine italica, si limitó in Egitto al I e II secolo della nostra era. I pezzi facevano parte della ceramica di piú alta qualitá e si distinguevano particolarmente per delle pareti molto fini. L'esemplare era originariamente munito di due anse.
Este vaso de argila, cuja proveniência se desconhece, é um bom exemplo da cerâmica decorada em barbotina. O uso desta técnica, que é de origem itálica, limitou-se no Egipto às produçöes dos séculos I-II da nossa era. As peças faziam parte de um tipo de cerâmica da mais alta qualidade, distinguindo-se particularmente pelas suas paredes muito finas. O exemplar tinha originalmente duas asas.
Este vaso de arcilla de procedencia desconocida es un bello ejemplar de cerámica decorada a la barbotina. El empleo de esta técnica, que es de origen itálico, se limitó en Egipto a los siglos I y II de nuestra era. Las piezas eran de cerámica de calidad superior y se caracterizaban sobre todo por <!-->unas paredes muy delgadas. Este ejemplar estaba provisto, en origen, de dos asas.
