General Comment
This hand has subsequently been removed from the museum display after two seperate attempts to remove it forcibly. The same woman was responsible for the attacks and she did not try to remove the hand from the premises but rather sat and held it, unfortunately causing some damage, both through her handling of it and the destruction of the case in which it was kept. These incidents occurred over a period of several years. Site: According to our records it is stated that the hand originally was found at Saqqara. Material: Unspecified: bitumin (cf. LÄ 825).
