Description
Part of a coffin panel of painted wood with holes for the pegs. The wood is painted with a white background and vertical lines of pale blue and white. In the centre is the end of an inscription in pale blue, the sign for a scorpion on a nome standard, possibly referring to the goddess Selkis.

Deel van paneel van sarcofaag met gaten voor de pennen. Het hout is wit geschilderd met verticale lijnen in bleekblauw en wit. In het midden staat het laatste deel van een opschrift in bleekblauw, het teken van een schorpioen op een gouwstandaard, mogelijk refererend aan de godin Selkis.
Paroi d'un cercueil en bois peint, partiellement conservée et comportant des trous de cheville. La peinture est appliquée sur fond blanc. La surface présente des lignes verticales bleu pâle et blanches. Au centre, figure la fin d'une inscription bleu pâle. Le signe du scorpion, tracé sur l'enseigne d'un nome, fait peut-être référence à la déesse Selkis.
Ein Teil einer Sargwand aus bemaltem Holz mit Zapflöchern. Das Holz ist weiß grundiert und mit blaßblauen und weißen vertikalen Streifen bemalt. Im Zentrum befindet sich das Ende einer blaßblauen Inschrift, das Zeichen des Skorpions auf einer Gaustandarte, das sich vermutlich auf die Göttin Selqet bezieht.
Parte di un sarcofago in legno dipinto con fori per le viti. Il legno è dipinto con uno sfondo bianco e linee verticali di colore blu pallido e bianco. Al centro si nota parte di un'iscrizione blu pallida, il segno di uno scorpione su un sostegno, con probabile riferimento alla dea Selkis.
Parte de parede de sarcófago em madeira pintada, com perfuraçoes para cavilhas. A madeira está pintada sobre fundo branco e com linhas verticais azuis claras e brancas. No centro encontra-se parte final de inscriçao em azul claro, o símbolo do escorpiao em padrao de nomo, fazendo, possívelmente, referência à deusa Serket.

En el centro tiene el final de una inscripción en azul pálido: el signo del escorpión de un estandarte de nomo, posiblemente una referencia a la diosa Selkis.

Object''s History
Once in the private collection of F.C.J. Spurrell, the panel came from Garstang's excavations at Beni Hassan in 1904. It was purchased in 1956 as part of the collection from the Castle Museum, Norwich.
