Kom uit Abydos van blauw faience, versierd als een poel met vissen, omringd door lotusbloemen. Op de onderzijde van de kom is een schubbenmotief.
Bol en faïence bleue provenant d'Abydos. La décoration consiste en une pièce d'eau entourée de fleurs de lotus où nage un poisson. Un motif en écailles orne l'extérieur du récipient.
Eine blaue Fayenceschale aus Abydos, deren Verzierung einen von Lotosblüten eingefaßten Teich darstellt, in dem Fische schwimmen. Auf der Rückseite der Schale befindet sich ein Schuppenmuster.
Coppa in faience blu proveniente da Abydos, decorata come una piscina con pesci che vi nuotano, circondata da fiori di loto. Sul lato posteriore della coppa vi è un modello decorativo in scala.
Tigela em faiança azul, proveniente de Abidos, decorada com lago com peixes a nadar, flanqueado por flor de lótus. Apresenta padrao de escamas no reverso da tigela.

Object''s History
Originally from the excavations of Professor J. Garstang at Abydos and donated to the museum in 1977 by Colonel J.R. Danson, Cumbria. Sir Francis Chatillon Danson was a member of the committee of the University Institute of Liverpool, which funded several of Garstang's excavations. This gift also included other material from excavations by Garstang at Esna and el-'Amarna.

Provenance: From Tomb No. 949. Site: From Tomb 949. Preservation: The edges are chipped. Iconography: The pale and dark blue colouring is well suited to this aquatic subject, a popular decorative theme.
