Description
Finely moulded faience figure of Duamutef, one of the four sons of Horus, the divine guardians of the more vulnerable inner organs. The figures of the four sons of Horus formed part of the mummy nets, placed over the wrapped body in burials from about 700 to 100 BC. This figure may belong to the same set as L1030:183.

Fijn gevormd faience figuur van Doeamoetef, een van de vier Horuszonen, de goddelijke wakers over de meer kwetsbare inwendige organen. De beeldjes van de vier Horuszonen maakten deel uit van de mummienetten, die op het ingewikkelde lichaam werden gelegd in graven, van ongeveer 700 tot 100 voor Christus. Dit beeldje behoort mogelijk tot dezelfde set als L1030:183.
Figure en faïence finement moulée de Douamoutef, l'un des quatre Fils d'Horus, les divins gardiens des organes internes les plus vulnérables. Les figures des quatre Fils d'Horus faisaient partie des résilles de momie, placées sur les corps momifiés, de 700 à 100 avant notre ère. Cette figure peut appartenir au même ensemble que celle décrite en L1030:183.

Die Figuren der vier Horuskinder bildeten einen Teil der Mumiennetze, die in der Zeit von etwa 700 bis 100 v. Chr. bei Bestattungen über den bandagierten Körper gelegt wurden. Diese Figur gehört vielleicht zum selben Set wie L1030:183.
