Description
Bronze figure of the Shilbe fish on a divine standard: the fish, broken at the tail, was the sacred symbol of the nome of Mendes in the Delta, but this example is said to have been found at Karnak. It is typical of the great quantity of votive bronze figures of deities deposited at Late Period shrines throughout Egypt.

Bronsfiguur van de sjilbevis op een godenstandaard. De vis, die bij de staart is afgebroken, was het heilige symbool van de gouw van Mendes in de Delta, al zou dit exemplaar in Karnak zijn gevonden. Het is typisch voor de grote hoeveelheden votieffiguren van goden in brons die in de Late Periode in schrijnen in geheel Egypte werden geplaatst.
Figure en bronze du poisson Shilbe, au statut divin: ce poisson, à la queue brisée, était le symbole sacré du nome de Mendès, dans le Delta. Cet exemplaire a cependant été découvert à Karnak. La figure fait partie de ces nombreuses statuettes votives de divinités en bronze déposées, partout en Égypte, dans les sanctuaires de Basse Époque.
Bronzefigur eines Schilbe-Fisches auf einer Götterstandarte: der am Schwanz abgebrochene Fisch war das geheiligte Symbol des Gaues von Mendes im Delta. Dieses Exemplar stammt aber angeblich aus Karnak. Es ist typisch für die große Menge von Weihfiguren von Gottheiten aus Bronze, die während der Spätzeit in Heiligtümern in ganz Ägypten deponiert wurden.
Figura bronzea del pesce Shilbe su uno stendardo divino: il pesce, rotto all'altezza della coda, rappresentava il simbolo sacro del nomo di Mendes nel Delta, ma si ritiene che questo esemplare sia stato trovato a Karnak. Questo oggetto è tipico della grande quantità di figurine votive d divinità deposte nei templi di Età Tarda in tutto l'Egitto.
Figura em bronze de peixe Shilbe com estatuto divino: o peixe, com cauda partida, era o símbolo secreto do nomo de Mendes no Delta, apesar de julgar-se que este exemplar tenha sido encontrado em Karnak. Típico da grande quantidade de figuras votivas de divindades em bronze colocadas em santuários egípcios da Época Baixa.
