Description
Limestone canopic jar for the preservation of the internal organs treated separately in mummification. The lid has a falcon head, indicating in the classic sequence that it invoked the god Qebehsenuf to protect the intestine. This system, established by the end of the 18th Dynasty, underwent variation over the following millennium.

Kalkstenen canopenvaas om de inwendige organen die bij de mummificatie apart behandeld werden te bewaren. Het deksel heeft een jakhalskop, hetgeen aangeeft dat het de god Kebehsenoef aanriep om de darmen te beschermen. Dit systeem, dat tegen het eind van de 18e Dynastie gevestigd werd, onderging tijdens het volgende millennium veranderingen.
Vase canope en calcaire destiné à la conservation des organes internes traités séparément lors de la momification. Le couvercle est en forme de tête de faucon, indiquant ainsi, dans le programme classique, qu'on invoquait le dieu Qebehsenouf pour protéger l'intestin. Ce système, établi vers la fin de la XVIIIème Dynastie, a subi des changements au cours du millénaire suivant.
Kanopenkrug aus Kalkstein zur Aufbewahrung der inneren Organe, die bei der Mumifizierung separat behandelt wurden. Der Deckel besitzt einen Falkenkopf, was nach der klassischen Zuordnung bedeutet, daß er den Gott Kebehsenuef anrief, die Gedärme zu beschützen. Dieses System, das am Ende der 18. Dynastie etabliert war, war im Laufe des nächsten Jahrtausends mehreren Veränderungen unterworfen.

Il coperchio presenta una testa di falco ad indicare, nella sequenza classica, che la divinità invocata per proteggere l'intestino è Qebehsenuf. Questo sistema fissato alla fine della XVIII Dinastia, subì delle variazioni nel millennio successivo.
