Description
Upper part of a female figurine in archaic Greek style, with pendants over the brow from a headband, and three pendants worn from a chain around the neck, and one hand held to the breast, from the city of Naukratis in the Western Delta. The city was a unique Greek colony installed with the permission of the Egyptian kings in the 26th Dynasty, to channel the trade between the Nile valley and the Aegean.

Bovenste deel van een vrouwenfiguurtje in archaïsch Griekse stijl, met hangers op het voorhoofd aan een hoofdband, drie hangers aan een ketting rond de hals en een hand aan de borst, uit de stad Naucratis in de westelijke Delta. De stad was een unieke Griekse kolonie, gesticht met toestemming van de Egyptische koningen in de 26e Dynastie, om de handel tussen de Nijlvallei en het Egeïsche gebied te bevorderen.
Partie supérieure d'une figurine féminine, de style grec archaïque, portant un bandeau dont les pendants lui tombent sur le front. Autour du cou, elle arbore une chaîne garnie de trois pendentifs. La main droite est posée sur la poitrine. Elle provient de la ville de Naucratis, dans le Delta occidental. La ville était l'unique colonie grecque fondée, avec l'autorisation des rois égyptiens de la XXVIème Dynastie, pour favoriser le commerce entre la Vallée du Nil et le monde égéen.
Oberteil einer weiblichen Figurine in archaisch-griechischem Stil mit Anhängern, die von einem Stirnband herabhängen und drei Anhängern an einer Halskette, sowie einer Hand an der Brust, aus der Stadt Naukratis im Westdelta. Die Stadt war eine ausschließlich griechische Kolonie, die in der 26. Dynastie mit Erlaubnis der ägyptischen Könige gegründet wurde, um den Handel zwischen dem Niltal und der Ägäis zu kanalisieren.
Parte superiore di una figura femminile in stile greco-arcaico, con pendenti sulla fronte, facenti parte di una fascia per la testa, tre pendenti indossati in una catena attorno al collo, e con una mano sul petto. La figura proviene dalla città di Naucrati sul Delta Occidentale. La città rappresenta l'unica colonia greca, installata con il permesso dei sovrani egizi nella XXVI Dinastia, per collegare i traffici commerciali fra la valle del Nilo e l'Egeo.
Parte superior de uma figura feminina em estilo arcaico grego, com pendentes de uma tira sobre a cabeça, e três pendentes numa corrente em volta do pescoço, e uma mão ao peito, da cidade de Naucrátis, no Delta Ocidental. A cidade era uma colónia grega única instalada com a autorização dos reis egípcios da XXVI dinastia para canalizar a troca entre o vale do Nilo e o Egeu.

Esta ciudad fue una colonia griega única, instalada con el permiso de los reyes de la Dinastía XXVI para canalizar el comercio entre el valle del Nilo y el Egeo.
