Description
Burnished red pottery piriform vessel, with outward-turning neck and rim, from a burial at Abydos. The vase was found with one of three coffins in the shaft of an earlier, Middle Kingdom tomb: the tomb had been plundered, and its shaft reused for the three coffins several hundred years later, at the start of the New Kingdom.

Gepolijst rood aardewerken peervormig vat, met naar buiten gebogen hals en rand, uit een graf in Abydos. De vaas werd gevonden met een van drie sarcofagen in de schacht van een vroeger graf uit het Middenrijk. Het graf was geplunderd en de schacht was enkele honderden jaren later aan het begin van het Nieuwe Rijk hergebruikt voor de drie sarcofagen.
Récipient piriforme en terre cuite rouge polie, au col tourné vers l'extérieur, provenant d'une tombe d'Abydos. Le vase a été découvert avec l'un des trois sarcophages dans le puits d'une tombe du début du Moyen Empire. La tombe a été pillée et son puits réutilisé, quelques siècles plus tard, au début du Nouvel Empire.
Geglättetes rotes birnenförmiges Tongefäß mit auswärtsgewandtem Hals und Rand aus einer Bestattung in Abydos. Das Gefäß wurde bei einem von drei Särgen im Schacht eines früheren, in das Mittlere Reich datierenden Grabes gefunden: das Grab war geplündert und sein Schacht mehrere Jahrhunderte später, zu Beginn des Neuen Reiches, für drei Särge wiederverwendet worden
Vaso piriforme di terracotta rossa brunita, con un collo ed orlo rivolti verso l'esterno, proveniente da una tomba di Abydos. Il vaso è stato trovato assieme ad uno dei tre sarcofagi nel pozzo di una tomba più antica, databile al Medio Regno: la tomba è stata saccheggiata ed il suo pozzo riutilizzato per tre sarcofagi, parecchie centinaia di anni dopo, all'inizio del Nuovo Regno.
Recipiente piriforme em barro vermelho, com rebordo e pescoço virados para fora, provenientes de um sepultamento em Abidos. O recipiente foi encontrado com um de três sarcófagos, na câmara de um túmulo do Império Médio: este foi saqueado e re-usado para três sarcófagos várias centenas de anos mais tarde, em inícios do Império Novo.
Recipiente de cerámica roja pulida, con cuello curvado hacia el exterior y borde, perteneciente a un enterramiento de Abydos. El vaso fue encontrado en uno de los tres sarcófagos hallados en el pozo de una tumba más antigua, del Reino Medio; la tumba fue saqueada algunos cientos de años después, a comienzos del Imperio Nuevo, y el pozo reutilizado por tres sarcófagos.
