Description
This object of terracotta, which comes from the excavations of W. F. Petrie at Herakleopolis Magna, probably constitutes a model of a house with a lamp. The piece, of cylindrical form, is provided with a rectangular opening via which one introduced a small oil lamp, and with a hole for suspension in the roof. It is possible that this type of lamp was used in a religious context.

Dit voorwerp van aardewerk, afkomstig van de opgraving van W.F. Petrie in Herakleopolis Magna, is waarschijnlijk een soort lamphouder. Het cilindrisch gevormde stuk is voorzien van een rechthoekige opening waardoor men een kleine olielamp inbracht, en van een ophangpunt op het dak. Het is mogelijk dat dit type lamp in een religieuze contekst werd gebruikt.
Cet objet en terre cuite, qui provient des fouilles de W. F. Petrie à Héracléopolis Magna, constitue vraisemblablement un modèle de maison à lampe. La pièce de forme cylindrique est pourvue d'une ouverture rectangulaire par laquelle on introduisait une petite lampe à huile et d'un trou de suspension dans le toit. Il est possible que ce type de lampe fût employé dans un contexte religieux.
Dieses Objekt aus gebranntem Ton, das aus den Grabungen von W.F. Petrie in Herakleopolis Magna stammt, stellt wahrscheinlich eine Lampe in Gestalt eines Hausmodells dar. Das zylindrische Stück ist mit einer rechteckigen Öffnung, durch die man eine kleine Öllampe einführte, und mit einer Aufhängevorrichtung am Dach versehen. Dieser Lampentypus wurde möglicherweise in religiösem Kontext verwendet.
Questo oggetto di terracotta, che proviene dagli scavi di W.F. Petrie a Herakleopolis Magna, costituisce verosimilmente un modello di casa a lampada. Il pezzo di forma cilindrica é munito di un'apertura rettangolare dalla quale si introduceva una piccola lampada a olio e di un foro di sospensione nel tetto. É possibile che questo tipo di lampada venisse impiegato in un contesto religioso.
Este objecto de terracota, proveniente das escavaçöes de W. F. Petrie em Heracleópolis Magna, é certamente um modelo de uma casa para iluminar. A peça tem uma forma cilíndrica e apresenta uma abertura rectangular através da qual se introduzia uma pequena lâmpada de azeite. Tem ainda um orifício para ser suspendida do tecto. É possível que este tipo de lamparina fosse utilizado num contexto religioso.
Este objeto de barro cocido, que proviene de las excavaciones de W. F. Petrie en Heracléópolis Magna, probablemente sea una lámpara con forma de casa. La pieza, de forma cilíndrica, está provista de una abertura rectangular, por la que se introducía una pequeña lámpara de aceite, y, en el tejado, de un agujero para colgarla. Es posible que este tipo de lámpara se empleara en un contexto religioso.
