Description
Large bag or muzzle of thick cord, similar to the muzzles used for camels. The camel became a common beast of burden in the Egyptian Nile Valley during the period of Roman rule, after 30 BC. This example was found at el-Rubiyat, in the eastern Faiyum.

Grote tas of halster van dik koord, gelijk aan de halsters die voor kamelen gebruikt worden. De kameel werd een gebruikelijk lastdier in de Egyptische Nijlvallei tijdens de Romeinse overheersing, na 30 voor Christus. Dit exemplaar is gevonden in el-Roebiyat, in de oostelijke Fajoem.
Grand sac ou muselière de corde épaisse, semblable aux muselières des chameaux. Le chameau se répandit, comme bête de somme, dans la Vallée du Nil sous la domination romaine, après 30 avant notre ère. Cet exemplaire a été découvert à Rubiyat, dans l'est du Fayoum.
