Description
Steatite scarab with stylised back, abraded at the head, inscribed on the underside with a hieroglyphic motto 'he is the lord of the two lands'. Motto scarabs were popular from the New Kingdom to the Late Period, and must have been considered powerful amulets.

Scarabee van steatiet met gestileerde rug, beschadigd aan de kop, met op de onderzijde een hiëroglifisch motto 'hij is de heer van de twee landen'. Scarabeeën met een motto waren populair van het Nieuwe Rijk tot de Late Periode en moeten in die tijd zijn beschouwd als krachtige amuletten.
Scarabée en stéatite au dos stylisé. La tête est détériorée. La face inférieure comporte une formule de protection en hiéroglyphes: 'il est le maître du Double Pays'. Des scarabées de ce genre furent très populaires du Nouvel Empire à la Basse Époque. Ils doivent être interprétés comme de puissantes amulettes.
Ein Skarabäus aus Steatit mit stilisiertem Rücken und beschädigtem Kopf, der auf der Unterseite mit einem hieroglyphischen Motto 'er ist der Herr der Beiden Länder' beschriftet ist. Mottoskarabäen waren vom Neuen Reich bis zur Spätzeit verbreitet und galten offenbar als wirkmächtige Amulette.
Scarabeo in steatite con il dorso stilizzato, eroso all'altezza della testa, iscritto sulla parte inferiore con la massima in geroglifici 'egli è il signore delle due terre'. Scarabei contenenti massime divennero popolari a partire dal Nuovo Regno fino ad Età Tarda, ed erano probabilmente considerati potenti amuleti.
Escaravelho em esteatite com parte traseira estilizada, com cabeça estriada e inscrição na base inferior com legenda em hieróglifos 'ele é o senhor das duas terras'. Escaravelhos com legenda eram populares no Império Novo até à Época Baixa, tendo sido considerados amuletos poderosos.
Escarabeo de esteatita con la espalda estilizada, la cabeza desgastada que lleva inscrito en la parte inferior un lema jeroglífico 'es el señor de las dos tierra'. Los escarabeos con lemas fueron populares desde el Imperio Nuevo hasta la Baja Época, y deben haber sido considerados poderosos amuletos.
