Description
This doorjamb features the badly damaged Horus name of the king inside the Serekh, or palace-shaped symbol of kingship. The Serekh is topped by the falcon Horus who is wearing the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt. These symbols were used to protect the king and his palace.

Ce montant de porte représente le nom très endommagé de Horus du roi à l'intérieur du Serekh, ou symbole de la royauté en forme de palais. Le Serekh est surmonté du faucon Horus portant la double couronne de Haute et de Basse Egypte. Ces symboles étaient utilisés pour protéger le roi et son palais.
عضد باب يحمل الاسم الحوري للملك، وهو محطم، داخل السرخ؛ وهو على شكل قصر، ويرمز إلى الملكية. ويعلو السرخ الصقر حورس الذي يرتدي التاج المزدوج لمصر العليا والسفلى. واستخدمت هذه الرموز لكي تحمي الملك وقصره.
