The Global Egyptian Museum

This oval, beetle-shaped pendant is decorated with a picture of a ram-headed sphinx. 

The ram is the sacred animal of the god Amun-Re. The sphinx represents the god himself. In front of the sphinx is the uraeus, the royal cobra. 

Behind the sphinx is a pot containing leaves. The sphinx is sitting on a base decorated with bent stripes. 

The holes on each side indicate this was used as a pendant or amulet.

Ce pendentif ovale en forme de scarabée est orné de la représentation d'un sphinx à tête de bélier. 

Le bélier est l'animal sacré du dieu Amon-Rê. Le sphinx représente le dieu lui-même. En face du sphinx, on voit l'uraeus, le cobra royal. 

Derrière le sphinx, se trouve un pot contenant des feuilles. Le sphinx est assis sur une base ornée de bandes courbées. 

Les orifices de chaque côté indiquent qu'il était utilisé comme pendentif ou amulette.

صممت هذه الدلاية البيضاوية على شكل جعران. وقد زينت بمنظر لأبى الهول برأس كبش جالساً على قاعدة مزينة بخطوط منحنية. 

وكان الكبش من الحيوانات المقدسة للمعبود آمون-رع، فى حين أن أبا الهول كان يمثل المعبود نفسه. 

وأمام أبى الهول نرى كوبرا كبيرة. وخلفه يوجد إناء فيه أوراق نبات. 

وتشير الثقوب الموجودة على كل جانب من جوانب هذه الدلاية الى انها كانت تستخدم كحلى أو كتميمة.
