The Global Egyptian Museum

The head of a bull, symbolizing the god Apis, is on the top of this aegis, or shield. Apis wears the horned sun disk crown decorated with the cobra and surmounted by two feathers.

A small stand is behind the crown to support it. Apis wears a long wig. The back of the god's neck is elongated so it may be fixed to another stand. The aegis is finely decorated.

Symbolisant Apis, cette tête de taureau orne cette égide, ou bouclier. Ce dieu porte une couronne pourvue d'un disque solaire compris entre deux cornes. La couronne est également décorée du cobra et surmontée de deux plumes. 

Un petit support est placé derrière la couronne afin de la soutenir. Apis est coiffé d'une longue perruque. L'arrière de son cou est allongé afin de pouvoir être fixé à un autre support. L'égide est finement décorée.

يزين أعلى هذه الصدرية رأس عجل يرمز لأبيس. ويضع أبيس على رأسه شعرا مستعاراً طويلاً يتوجه قرص الشمس الذى تعلوه ريشتان بين قرنيه، بينما يحمي الصل المقدس جبهته. 

وخلف التاج توجد ركيزة صغيرة لسنده. يرتدي أيبس باروكة طويلة، ورقبة الثور طويلة من الخلف، ربما لتثبت على حامل آخر. وقد زينت الصدرية نفسها بزخارف دقيقة.
