Description
The small beautiful vase of Mesehti, Mayor of Asiut, has a wide rim and a flat bottom. The vase may have been beaten into shape from a single sheet of copper. The thickness of the copper is almost uniform, but may be somewhat thicker at the base. The vase was finely polished and no marks from tools are visible on the entire surface. It was included with the funerary equipment, which suggests that it may have been used for funerary rituals.

Ce petit vase magnifique de Mesehti est doté d'un large bord et d'un fond plat. Ce vase a pu être façonné à partir d'une seule feuille de cuivre. L'épaisseur du cuivre est pratiquement uniforme, mais est peut-être un peu plus épaisse à la base. Ce vase a été finement poli et aucune marque d'outils n'est visible sur l'ensemble de la surface. Il a été ajouté au matériel funéraire ce qui permet de penser qu'il a pu être utilisé pour des rituels funéraires.
إناء صغير جميل من مجموعة مسحتي؛ ذا حافة عريضة وقاع مسطح: وربما شكل بالطرق من صفيحة نحاسية واحدة. ويعد سمك النحاس منتظماً تقريباً، لكن ربما يكون أسمك إلى حد ما عند القاعدة. وقد صقل الإناء بعناية ودقة، فلا تظهر علامات أو خدوش من إستخدام الأدوات على أي جزء من السطح. وكان هذا الإناء قد أضيف الى الأثاث الجنائزي، مما يشير إلى احتمال استخدامه في أداء شعائر وطقوس جنائزية.
