The tomb of Tutankhamun gave us a clear idea of the complete equipment of a royal tomb of the Pharaonic era. 

Not only were funerary items placed in the tomb, but objects used during the lifetime of the king were also placed there for use in the hereafter. 

This model of a grain mill is made of wood and was preserved in the tomb with its grinding stone. The symbolic use of this miniature mill by the king in the afterlife is obvious. He had intended to secure wheat for his bread in case no offerings would be presented to him. 

A miniature model of a granary full of seeds was also found in the tomb.

La tombe de Toutânkhamon nous a permis de nous faire une bonne idée de l'équipement que contenait une tombe royale datant de l'époque pharaonique. 

En effet, elle renfermait non seulement des articles funéraires mais également toutes sortes d'objets ayant servi au cours de la vie du roi. Ces derniers avaient été placés dans la tombe afin de pouvoir être utilisés dans l'au-delà. 

Equipé d'une meule, ce modèle en bois d'un moulin à grains fut préservé dans la tombe de l'enfant-roi. Il était destiné à garantir un approvisionnement en blé au cas où aucune offrande ne lui aurait été faite. 

Ajoutons qu'un silo miniature rempli de graines fut également retrouvé.

أعطت لنا مقبرة توت-عنخ-آمون فكرة واضحة عن التجهيز الكامل للمقبرة الملكية خلال العصر الفرعوني. 

فلم تقتصر محتويات المقبرة على الأدوات الجنائزية فحسب، بل شملت أيضاً أدوات كان قد استخدمها الملك فعلاً في حياته ثم دفنت معه ليستخدمها في العالم الآخر. 

وقد صنع هذا النموذج لمطحنة الحبوب من الخشب وحفظ في المقبرة مع حجر احتكاكه. والإستخدام الرمزي لهذه المطحنة المصغرة في العالم الآخر واضح، فهي تضمن للملك حصوله على القمح اللازم لخبزه في حالة عدم وجود قرابين مقدمة له. 

كما وجد أيضاً في المقبرة نموذج مصغر لمخزن حبوب مملوء بالغلال.
