Description
This limestone relief belonged to Rahotep and consists of four registers, or sections. The remains of the upper register show the lower part of Rahotep's body. He is depicted standing and holding the Sekhem scepter as a sign of power. The three lower registers depict three rows of women carrying different kinds of offerings. Each register has a name of a village. These villages may have been Rahotep's property or under his control.
