Description
This statue of Padi Hor is a fine example of good quality craftsmanship during the Late Period. Padi Hor, bald and wearing a long robe, stands with his left leg extended forward. He holds a small shrine with both hands. The shrine contains the figure of the god Osiris, main judge and lord of the underworld. A pillar supporting the entire statue from behind is inscribed with the Hetep-di-nisw offering formula. It solicits offerings and a good burial from the guardian spirit of Padi Hor.
