Description
This pair of statues of the god Thoth depicts him in his two animal forms. The first sacred animal, or form, for Thoth is the baboon. He is depicted in a squatting position as a baboon. In front of him is standing the ibis, the second form, or sacred animal, of Thoth. The ibis is standing on a base that is lower than the base on which the baboon is squatting. The statue is now completely green due to the oxidation of the metal.
