Description
This statuette represents the god Sobek with a human body and the head of a crocodile. His arms are by his sides and his wrist is adorned with bracelets. He wears a plumed headdress and ram's horns on either side of a sun disk and a rising uraeus, the royal cobra. The headdress is like that of Amun-Re. Sobek was worshipped as another aspect of the sun-god and was known as Sobek-Re. At the back of the statuette, the body of a snake is attached; its tail coils four times on the ground.
