Description
The fish goddess, Hatmehit, was worshipped in the Delta, near Mendes. She is portrayed here seated with her hands by her knees. She wears a small crown that supports a tablet on which rests a small fish. The forehead is protected by the uraeus, the royal cobra. The ornamented seat is at the top of a small papyrus-shaped column.

A
La déesse poisson Hatmehit était adorée dans le delta, à proximité de Mendés. Sur cette statuette, elle est représentée assise, les mains sur les genoux. Elle est coiffée d'une couronne qui soutient une tablette sur laquelle repose un petit poisson. Son front est protégé par l'uræus, ou cobra royal. Le siège décoré se trouve au sommet d'une petite colonne en forme de papyrus.
عُبِدَت الربة السمكة حات-محيت في الدلتا، قريباً من منديس. وهى تصَوَّرُ هنا جالسة واضعة يديها على رُكَبتيها. وترتدى على رأسها تاجاً عبارة عن قرص صغير يعلوه سمكة صغيرة. ويحمى جبين الربة حية الكوبرا.وقد وضع المقعد المُزَيَّن على قمّة عمود شكل على هيئة زهرة البردي.
