The 35 model boats found in the Treasury Room of Tutankhamun's tomb indicate a wide variety in the form and design of actual boats and ships. 

Most of the models were probably connected with the pilgrimage to Abydos or one that would take place in the hereafter. Some boats would allow the deceased to accompany Osiris and Re, others would allow him to travel and take part in hunting in the marshes.

Les 35 modèles réduits retrouvés dans la salle du trésor de la tombe de Toutânkhamon indiquent une grande variété de formes et de modèles en ce qui concerne les bateaux et les barques ayant existé. 

La plupart de ces modèles réduits avaient probablement un rapport avec le pèlerinage à Abydos ou avec un pèlerinage dans l'au-delà. Certains bateaux permettaient au défunt d'accompagner Osiris et Rê alors que d'autres lui permettaient de voyager et de prendre part à la chasse dans les marais.

ولعل أغلبها كان ذا علاقة بالحج الروحاني في العالم الآخر، وقد أمكن لبعضها بلوغ رحاب أوزوريس ورع، وأمكنه غيرها من الإسهام في التنقل والصيد في الأحراش.
