Description
Mirrors, made of polished gold, silver, copper, or bronze, were part of the cosmetic accessories of women and men. They were sometimes preserved in cases such as this elaborate one in the form of an Ankh, or life sign. It is carved in gold-plated wood and the king's name is inlaid on the lid with colored glass and semiprecious stones. The interior of the case is lined with silver. The mirror it once contained was not found.

Les miroirs en or, en argent, en cuivre ou en bronze brillants, faisaient partie des accessoires de toilette des hommes et des femmes. Parfois, ils étaient conservés dans des étuis. Finement décoré, ce modèle a la forme du ankh, ou signe de vie. De plus, il est taillé dans du bois plaqué or et le nom du roi est incrusté sur le couvercle avec de la pâte de verre colorée et des pierres semi-précieuses. L'intérieur de l'étui est doublé d'argent. Le miroir qu'il renfermait n'a pas été retrouvé.
كانت المرايا تصنع من أقراص الذهب أو الفضة أو النحاس أو البرونز. وكانت دائما ذات مقابض أنيقة مشكلة كهيئة الربة حتحور أو هيئة رأسها، أو كانت بمقبض في صورة زهرة اللوتس، وكانت المرايا وهي من أمتعة المرأة والرجل تحفظ أحيانا في صناديق مثل هذا الذي اتخذ شكل رمز الحياة. وقد نحت من خشب مصفح بالذهب ومطعم باسم الملك تكتنفه زهور اللوتس. هذا ولم يعثر على المرآة التي كانت بداخل الصندوق.
