The Global Egyptian Museum

This schist statue depicts Psammetik standing in a posture of prayer, with the seal of his profession as chief scribe hanging from his neck. 

He is standing beneath the figure of a cow representing the goddess Hathor. She was the goddess of love, music, and motherhood. Here Hathor wears her usual crown of the sun disk, with two tall feathers inserted between her horns and the uraeus, or royal cobra.

Cette statue en schiste représente le chef scribe Psammétik en position de prière. Autour de son cou, il porte le sceau identifiant sa profession. 

De plus, Psammétik se tient sous une vache, symbole de la déesse Hathor. Cette dernière était considérée comme la déesse de l'amour, de la musique et de la maternité. Sur cette statue, Hathor est coiffée de sa couronne caractéristique composée d'un disque solaire, de deux grandes plumes comprises entre ses cornes et de l'uræus, ou cobra royal

يصور تمثال الشست هذا رئيس الكتبة بسماتيك واقفا في وضع التعبد، وقد تدلى الختم على صدره، كناية عن وظيفته. 

ونراه في ظل وحماية الربة حتحور التي تمثلت في هيئة بقرة كاملة. وكانت حتحور ربة الحب والموسيقى والأمومة. وقد علا رأسها تاجها المميز، مع قرص الشمس، والريشتين الطويلتين القائمتين بين قرنيها، في كنف حية الكوبرا.
