This head of King Userkaf was found in the Sun Temple dedicated by the king to the god Re at Abusir. 

The royal head, wearing the Red Crown of Lower Egypt, is a striking example of the style marking the beginning of the Fifth Dynasty. 

When it was discovered, it was first attributed to the goddess Neith. However, the occurrence of a slim mustache on the upper lip proved that the head was a royal portrait of the king

Cette tête du roi Ouserkaf fut retrouvée dans le temple du soleil. Le roi fit bâtir ce temple à Abousir et le dédia au dieu Rê. 

Coiffée de la couronne rouge de la Basse Egypte, la tête royale est un exemple frappant du style caractéristique de la cinquième dynastie. 

Lors de sa découverte, cette tête fut d'abord attribuée à la déesse Neith. Toutefois, la présence d'une fine moustache sur la lèvre supérieure démontra que la tête était un portrait royal

عثر على رأس الملك أوسركاف هذا في معبد الشمس، الذي أنشأه الملك وكرسه لعبادة رع رب الشمس في أبوصير. 

وقد جاء هذا الرأس الملكي، الذي يتخذ تاج الوجه البحري الأحمر مثالا رائعا على الأسلوب الذي ميز بداية عصر الأسرة الخامسة. 

وكان قد نسب إلى الربة نيت حين كشف عنه، لولا ما لوحظ من شارب نحيل على الشفة العليا، بما يثبت نسبة الرأس إلى تمثال ملكي
