Description
It is not easy to work out how this object was made. The open form was probably achieved by modelling the glass on an almost circular mould. The two rims were then worked intensively. The pedestal appears to have been made separately. The Brussels piece is one of three examples of the same type of beaker made of dark-blue glass. Identical beakers without pedestals, dating to the 18th Dynasty, are of a type whose design was probably imported from Syria.

Vervolgens werden de twee randen intensief bewerkt. De voet lijkt afzonderlijk gemaakt te zijn. Het stuk van Brussel maakt deel uit van drie exemplaren van hetzelfde type beker in donkerblauw glas. Identieke bekers zonder voet, die dateren uit de 18e dynastie, behoren tot een type waarvan de vorm waarschijnlijk geïmporteerd is uit Syrië.
La technique de fabrication de cet objet reste difficile à déterminer. La forme ouverte a probablement été obtenue en modelant le verre sur un moule presque arrondi. Ensuite, les deux bords ont fortement été travaillés. Le pied semble être fabriqué séparément. La pièce de Bruxelles fait partie de trois exemplaires du même type de coupe en verre bleu foncé. Les coupes identiques, sans pied, datant de la XVIIIème Dynastie, appartiennent à un type dont la forme est probablement importée de la Syrie.
Die Herstellungstechnik dieses Objektes ist schwierig zu bestimmen. Die offene Form wurde wahrscheinlich erreicht, indem das Glas über einem fast runden Kern geformt wurde. Dann wurden die beiden Ränder mit Nachdruck bearbeitet. Der Fuß scheint separat hergestellt worden zu sein. Das Brüsseler Stück ist eines von drei ähnlichen Exemplaren desselben Schalentyps aus dunkelblauem Glas. Identische Schalen ohne Fuß, die in die 18. Dynastie datieren, gehören zu einem Typus, dessen Form wahrscheinlich aus Syrien importiert worden war.
La tecnica di fabbricazione di questo oggetto resta difficile da determinare. La forma aperta é stata probabilmente ottenuta modellando il vetro su uno stampo quasi rotondo. In seguito, i due bordi sono stati molto lavorati. Il piede sembra essere stato fabbricato separatamente. Il pezzo di Bruxelles fa parte di tre esemplari dello stesso tipo di coppa di vetro azzurro scuro. Le coppe identiche, senza piede, risalenti alla XVIII dinastia, appartengono a un tipo la cui forma é probabilmente importata dalla Siria.

A forma aberta foi certamente obtida ajustando o vidro a um molde quade arredondado, e em seguida os dois bordos foram minuciosamente trabalhados. O pé foi aparentemente feito separadamente. A peça de Bruxelas faz parte de um conjunto de três exemplares do mesmo tipo de vaso de vidro azul escuro. Os vasos idênticos sem pé datam da XVIII dinastia e pertencem a um tipo cuja forma foi provavelmente inspirada em modelos da Síria.
