Description
One of the sides of this phial in terracotta shows the traditional motif of Saint Menas, standing, in a roman costume. The other side bears in a medallion a short Greek inscription: "eulogy of Saint Menas". The piece, which is intact, but whose motifs are very effaced, dates from the 6th or the 7th century.

Eén van de zijden van deze fles in terracotta toont het traditionele motief van Sint-Menas, staande en in een Romeinse uitrusting. De andere zijde draagt in een medaillon een korte Griekse inscriptie: "lofspraak van Sint-Menas". Het stuk, dat ongeschonden is maar waarvan de motieven erg vervaagd zijn, dateert uit de 6e of 7e eeuw.
Une des faces de cette ampoule en terre cuite montre le motif traditionnel de Saint Ménas, debout, en costume romain. L'autre côté porte en médaillon une courte inscription grecque:"eulogie de Saint Ménas". La pièce, qui est intacte, mais dont les motifs sont très effacés, date du VIe ou VIIe siècle.
Eine Seite dieser Ampulle aus Terrakotta zeigt das traditionelle Motiv des stehenden Heiligen Menas in römischer Tracht. Die andere Seite zeigt in einem Medaillon eine kurze griechische Inschrift: "Eulogie des Heiligen Menas". Das intakte Stück, dessen Motive aber sehr undeutlich sind, datiert in das 6. oder 7. Jhdt.
Una delle facce di questa ampolla di terracotta mostra il motivo tradizionale di S. Menas, in piedi, con il costume romano. L'altro lato reca in un medaglione una corta iscrizione greca: "eulogia di S. Menas". Il pezzo, che é intatto, ma i cui motivi sono fortemente cancellati, data al VI o V secolo.
Uma das faces desta âmbula de terracota mostra o tema tradicional de Säo Menas de pé e em traje romano. No outro lado está um medalhäo com uma curta inscriçäo grega «Eulogia de Säo Menas». A peça, que está intacta embora os motivos estejam um tanto apagados, data do século VI ou do século VII.
Una de las caras de esta cantimplora de barro cocido presenta el tradicional motivo de san Menas, de pie y vestido de romano. El otro lado tiene un medallón con una corta inscripción griega: "elogio a san Menas". La pieza, que está intacta, pero su decoración está muy borrada, data del siglo Vi o VII.
