Alabastron

34360.jpg

This alabaster vase is a beautiful example of stone production of Egyptian masons. It belongs to the "alabastron" type, wide neck/rim and concave base. The two handles, from where to hold it, are not perforated. Its use as unguent or perfume container is well documented in several pieces.
