A finely made pottery bowl, cream in colour with a red floral pattern. The fabric of the bowl is extremely fine and light, the technical excellence of such painted wheelmade pottery was one of the finest achievements of Meroitic craftsmen. The floral pattern is of Graeco-Roman origin.
