A further development of the offering platter located the funerary provisions in an architectural setting. These models represent the mud-brick dwelling of the ordinary Egyptian, and often feature a columned façade and steps to a flat roof with parapet and ventilator. The offerings were depicted in an open court in front of the house (here broken away).
