Representation of the god Thoth - Ibis, with the head of an ibis and the body of a man in a walking position. The arms are hanging down his sides, the hands closed. He is wearing an atef-crown. This god, venerated principally in Hermopolis, became the patron of writers because he was considered to be the inventor of writing.
