Description

Bronze hes-vase, used as water-container in the execution of libations and purifications. The water could be obtained from the sacred lake of the temple, since this, according to the texts, issued from the Primordial Ocean, origin of the creation of the world and of beings. Hes-vases also have old testimonials for their use in the funerary cult, above all in pouring the liquid on the offering tables.
