Description
Twelve rectangular mother of pearl plates cut from the mother-of-pearl of large Nile shells. This material is typical of the C-Group and is only rarely found in other Nubian cultures such as the A-Group, the Kerma and Pan-Grave cultures. These elements can be assembled as they are or together with disc-shaped beads made from ostrich eggshell, enamel or carnelian.

Douze plaquettes rectangulaires taillées dans la nacre de grands coquillages du Nil. Ce matériau est caractéristique du Groupe C et ne se rencontre que très rarement dans les autres cultures nubiennes anciennes, Groupe A, Kerma et Pan-Graves. Les éléments peuvent être assemblés tels quels ou associés à des perles discoïdes de coquille d'oeuf d'autruche, de pâte émaillée ou de cornaline.
