Description

Cluster of leather straps: eighteen straps with balls of bark on top of them.  The set is bound together with a leather strap that goes around it six times. The object thus gathered and tied has curved sides.  The leather has become very brittle and it has lost its original colour.

Faisceau de bandes de cuir, dix-huit bandes avec, au-dessus d'elles, des boules d'écorce. L'ensemble est lié par une bande de cuir faisant six fois le tour. Le bloc ainsi constitué présente un cintrage. Le cuir est devenu cassant et a perdu sa couleur d'origine.
