Description

Crude example of a dish with a concave base, an extremely flared body in the shape of an S (with a rounded lip in continuation of the body). The clay is fine, compact, heterogeneous (mineral and organic temper) and buff-coloured. The workmanship is rather crude and the polish quite succinct. Nonetheless, both the interior and the rim are decorated with concentric bands of white paint.

Exemplaire grossier d'une coupelle à base concave, à panse très évasée en S (avec une lèvre arrondie dans le prolongement). La pâte est fine, compacte, hétérogène (dégraissant minéral et végétal), chamois. Le travail est peu soigné et le lissage très succinct. Pourtant, l'intérieur est décoré de bandes concentriques de peinture blanche, de même que le bord.
