This object of terracotta, which comes from the excavations of the Egypt Exploration Fund at Naucratis in 1911, belongs to the category of open lamps used in pharaonic times and during the Ptolemaic Period. It is only from this period onwards that the Egyptians also used closed lamps of Hellenistic type.

Dit voorwerp uit aardewerk, afkomstig uit de opgravingen van het Egypt Exploration Fund in Naucratis in 1911, behoort tot de categorie lampen die in de faraonische periode en ook tijdens de Ptolemeïsche Periode werden gebruikt. Pas vanaf deze Ptolemeïsche Periode raakten ook de hellenistische gesloten lampen in zwang.
Cet objet en terre cuite, qui provient des fouilles de l'Egypt Exploration Fund à Naucratis en 1911, appartient à la catégorie de lampes ouvertes utilisées aux temps pharaoniques et pendant la Période Ptolémaïque. Ce n'est qu'à partir de cette période que les Égyptiens se servaient également de lampes closes de type hellénistique.
Dieses Objekt aus Terrakotta, das aus den Grabungen des Egypt Exploration Fund 1911 in Naukratis stammt, gehört zur Kategorie der offenen Lampen, die in der pharaonischen und der Ptolemäerzeit verwendet wurden. Erst von jener Zeit an bedienten sich die Ägypter auch der geschlossenen Lampen vom hellenistischen Typus.
Questo oggetto di terracotta, che proviene dagli scavi dell'Egypt Exploration Fund a Naucratis nel 1911, appartiene alla categoria di lampade aperte utilizzate al tempo faraonico e durante il Periodo Tolemaico. SOlo a partire da questo periodo gli egiziani si servirono anche di lampade chiuse di tipo ellenistico.
Este objecto de terracota é proveniente das escavaçöes do Egypt Exploration Fund em Naucrátis em 1911. É uma candeia que pertence à categoria das lâmpadas abertas utilizadas nos tempos faraónicos e no Período Ptolemaico. Foi só a partir deste período que os Egípcios passaram igualmente a usar as lâmpadas fechadas (lucernas) de tipo helenístico
Este objeto de barro cocido, que proviene de las excavaciones del Egypt Exploration Fund en Náucratis en 1911, es una de esas lámparas abiertas utilizadas en tiempos faraónicos y durante el Época Ptolemaica. Sólo a partir de entonces comenzaron los egipcios a utilizar también las lámparas cerradas de tipo helenístico.
