Description

Lekythos with a spherical body surmounted by a tall and narrow neck, composed of a cylindrical lower section and a convex upper section (near the orifice). The pronounced lip is short and convex. A spout is probable. An oblique handle connects the neck with the shoulder. There are patches of plant matter on the exterior of the base as well as on the body of the vessel.

Lécythe à panse spérique surmontée d'un col haut, étroit, composé d'une partie cylindrique et d'une partie convexe (embouchure). Lèvre courte, convexe, soulignée. Probablement bec verseur. Une anse oblique relie le col à l'épaule. Sur la face externe du fond et la panse subsiste par plaques de la matière végétale.
