Description
Object in the likeness of a worn cowry shell. One of its surfaces is smooth and rounded, the other flat. On this flat surface the name Menkheperre (Thutmosis III) has been written in incised hieroglyphs and encircled by an incised oval, a cartouche. The object was part of a necklace comprised of fifteen beads and two amulets. The cowry bead has been pierced longitudinally to allow for its suspension. See L 2145 (a) and (b).

Objet en forme de caurie, usé. Il comporte une surface bombée et lisse et une surface plate sur laquelle sont incisés les signes hiéroglyphiques composant le nom Menkheperrê (Thoutmosis III), entourés par un ovale également incisé, une cartouche. Cet objet fait partie d'un collier composé de quinze perles et de deux amulettes. Le cauroïde comporte un trou de suspension percé sur la longueur. Voir L 2145 (a) et (b).
