Description

These jar stands were used to hold up vessels with rounded bases. Here, the lower section which rests on the ground is wider, thicker and more crudely fashioned. A red slip is observable on the exterior as well as on a section of the interior.

Ces supports de vase étaient destinés à maintenir droits les vases à fond arrondi. Ici, la partie reposant sur le sol est plus large, plus épaisse et plus grossièrement traitée. Sur l'extérieur, on peut observer une couverte rouge, également présente sur une partie de l'intérieur.
