Very elegant jar stand made from calcareous clay from Upper Egypt. This clay is pink-orange inside and white on the surface. The bottom section is flared and the upper section bordered with a convex lip. The curved mid-section bears three scratches made before firing -- a decoration as opposed to a potter's mark.

Support de vase très élégant fait en argile calcaire de Haute &Eacute;gypte orange rosé dans la tranche et blanc en surface. Le bas est évasé, le haut bordé d'une lèvre convexe. La partie centrale, cintrée porte trois "griffes" faites avant la cuisson, plutôt un décor qu'une marque de potier.
