De heilige Apis-stier werd gezien als een verschijning van de Ba van de god Ptah. Zijn belangrijkste heiligdom was nabij de tempel van Ptah in Memphis. Dit votiefbeeldje toont een lopende stier op een laag voetstukje. Hij draagt een zonneschijf met uraeus tussen zijn hoorns.
