Description
The sacred Apis bull was regarded as a manifestation of the Ba of the god Ptah. His main sanctuary was near the temple of Ptah in Memphis. This votive statue depicts him as a galloping bull. The neck is adorned with four parallel golden stripes and a horizontal silver crescent. The pedestal is placed on a sledge; it has a hieroglyphic inscription on each long side.

De heilige Apis-stier werd gezien als een verschijning van de Ba van de god Ptah. Zijn belangrijkste heiligdom was nabij de tempel van Ptah in Memphis. Dit votiefbeeld toont een galopperende stier. De hals is versierd met vier parallelle gouden strepen en een horizontale zilveren maansikkel. Het voetstuk staat op een slee; op de lange zijden staat een hiëroglifische inscriptie.
Le taureau sacré Apis était considéré comme une manifestation du Ba du dieu Ptah. Son principal sanctuaire se situait près du temple de Ptah à Memphis. Cette statue votive représente un taureau au galop. Son cou est décoré de quatre rayures en or et d'un croissant en argent. Le socle est placé sur un traîneau; une inscription hiéroglyphique figure de chaque côté.
Der heilige Apis-Stier galt als Erscheinungsform des Bas des Gottes Ptah. Sein Hauptheiligtum lag in der Nähe des Ptah-Tempels in Memphis. Diese Votivstatue zeigt einen gallopierenden Stier. Vier parallel verlaufende Goldstreifen und ein waagrechter silberner Sichelmond schmücken den Hals. Il collo è ornato con quattro strisce d'oro parallele e un crescente in argento orizzontale. Il piedistallo, posto su una slitta, reca un'iscrizione geroglifica su entrambi i lati lunghi.
