Description
A large faience amulet in the shape of an udjat-eye. The details are picked out in black over a dark blue glaze. The udjat-eye is connected to the myth of Horus and is symbolic of protection and strength, such amulets were extremely popular and are common in all sizes.

Groot amulet van faience in de vorm van een oedjat-oog. De details zijn in zwart op een donkerblauw glazuur. Het oedjat-oog wordt verbonden met de mythe van Horus en symboliseert bescherming en kracht. Dergelijke amuletten waren zeer populair en werden in alle maten vervaardigd.
